Moto Morini 9 1/2 S SPORT
Oberdan
Bezzi is an italian industrial designer specialized in mortorbikes design. He
is a proffesional, although in this free time he also creates design proposals
that he publish in his blog Motosketches.
It caught my attention the constant way in which Bezzi works, because he
publish at least one sketch every month.
When
late last year Moto Morini presented the 2014 models many Morini-fans had
enough: the new models were a disappointment, the prices were substantially
increased (€ 3,500 for the Corsaro 1200) and although claimed by the new owners
from Moto Morini there were still no structural updates.
What do
you do when you don't have too much faith in the management, but are still
attached to the brand?
A group
fanatical Moto Morini fans from Germany decided to take matters in their own
hands and entirely in-house to start developing a new Moto Morini following the
Oberdan Bezzi design.
Within a
week there signed up more than 60 virtual shareholders on the German forum, who paid
their share within a few days.
On the
forum was a project team, led by Ducati tuning specialist Axel Ickert to the
new project, the 9 1/2 sBezziale that is a homage to the old Moto Morini 3 1/2,
as he was remembered in 2006 by the Italian designer Oberdan Bezzi.
The
project is to follow through their WEBSITE, they hope to be
able to reveal the sBezziale this year.
The Moto Morini 3 1/2 from 1973 - 344 cc - 35 HP
Moto Morini 9 1/2 2014? - 1187 cc - 117 HP
So how cool
is that!
The
factory will not listen to the clients demands or wishes.
So you
start building the bike you want yourself with a group of enthusiast who will sponsor
the bike.
