When I would slowly release
the clutch you could hear a squeaking sound.
The primary oil was really
black with shining particles.
The clutch was OK but after
removing the Stator it turned out that 3 of the magnets has come loose and
where disintegrated.
Old 32403-89A New 32413-92C
I will replace that with the
later rotor from the X1.
The engine sprocket is
attached with 8 bolts instead of 4.
The 4 bolts are known to
shear of.
Slowly I started to take the
bike apart and improve some items.
(And there is a lot to
improve)
So what turned out to be a
small complained will turn out in a nuts and bolts restoration.
Good investment? I don’t
think so…..
Is she worth it? …………
Absolutely….
Best bike I have ever owned
and this is bike number 65
(Tells a lot about my age
probably)
First modification, of
course, the oil pump drive gear.
Just in time, it was really
worn.
I replaced it with P/N
26391-06 which came stock on the later XB models.
Old P/N 26318-88A
New P/N 26391-06
